Richard (Rick) Petree is the Chairman of Rematco Energy. For over fifteen years, Rick has advised energy project developers, independent power producers, large international utilities, solar equipment manufacturers, specialist energy fund managers, and clean technology financings and transactions in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Spain, Hungary, Bulgaria, Turkey, Egypt, India, Japan, Thailand, and Chile.
He spent six years in the New York team of the Virginia-based investment bank, Ewing Bemiss & Co as a Managing Director. His earlier investment banking career was with S.G. Warburg & Co., as a Managing Director both in London and New York.
He is a graduate of Oxford University with first-class honors and Harvard Law School, JD, where he was the editor of the Harvard Law Review. He also practiced law at Hale & Dorr (Boston) and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett (New York). He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Emanuel Misghinna is the Managing Partner for Rematco Energy. For the past ten years, Emanuel has led the origination, structuring, and execution of oil and gas infrastructure deals. He was part of the management team of a consortium seeking to acquire OML 25 from Shell (Shell’s divested 30K producing asset). He was also involved in developing the NIPP power generation expansion ventures (1,000 MW) in Nigeria.
Prior to this, Emanuel was a Principal in Oil and Power deals at Nemrod SA. He has also worked for MacMillan Group, Pentium Fund, and Deutsche Bank, where he was involved in the valuation of Energy companies, mostly IOCs and mid-cap E&P companies.
He has published articles on Power in the Financial Times, and a variety of other business topics in the African Business Magazine and other well-known publications in the region. He has also written for the African Union and the United Nations on energy investments in Africa. He has an MA from the University of Warwick.
Iain Macleod is the Principal Engineer for Rematco Energy. Over the last thirty years, Iain has worked for major operators and contractor organizations within the Oil & Gas industry. He is able to bring a robust mix of innovative and practical perspectives to complex oil, gas, and LNG developments. He is also adept at leveraging available technologies in his work, based on extensive experience and knowledge in the design, commissioning, and operations of complex oil & gas/LNG facilities.
As a disciplined Technical Authority for TNK-BP, BP, BG Group, and ENI, he has had full responsibility for process design, process safety, operability, and development of operating philosophies.
Iain holds an MSc in Offshore and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen.
Over the last 30 years, John has held multiple senior business and commercial leadership roles with BG Group, Wison, and New Age along with advisory roles with FTI Consulting. With LNG and upstream development, construction, operations, and economic regulation experience, John has a strong track record of leading joint ventures and multi $bn commercial transactions.
Extensive LNG experience including floating LNG facilities and LNG regasification terminals. The leadership of Dragon LNG, a critical LNG terminal in the UK, during construction and into operations. Developed and negotiated the commercial agreements and regulatory framework for LNG projects, and upstream and gas transmission pipelines with both customers and regulators.
Currently active in origination and project development for floating LNG, floating power, FSRUs, and floating wind. As Vice President for BG Group, led upstream and midstream commercial activities in Egypt, Brazil, SE Asia, and the UK.
Antony, brings 30 yrs experience working at senior corporate & PM levels in International Oil & Gas organisations, including 12 yrs specific to integrated gas/LNG/FLNG asset development. Recently President of NewAge LNG, responsible for creating Company’s business strategy. Head of LNG Project Performance at ENI where he established its corporate LNG project delivery and performance know-how, systems and resources to enable and sustain the company’s expansion into managing and operating LNG projects across its extensive gas asset portfolio. Whilst at ENI delivered a $300+MM FLNG FEED Design Competition for a 3+Mtpa FLNG unit. At BG Group, he was a Senior Project Manager and Head of Project Management Functional Excellence ensuring the successful delivery of oil & gas/LNG projects across BG’s global asset portfolio. Antony holds a BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering and MBA at Cranfield University.
Derick has over 36 years of experience in greenfield and brownfield developments / commissioning and decommissioning of oil and gas fields/assets with Shell, Amec, Woodgroup, Repsol, and Premier Oil Harbour Energy. He has led large multi-discipline teams to deliver Integrated Maintenance, engineering, construction, and decommissioning projects on time and within budget. He has performed safety and the environment is my ultimate priority when implementing change to improve performance and increase efficiency.
He has over 10 years of experience in the capacity of operations manager in four oil and gas assets ensuring overall operations including drilling and maintenance activities.

John has over thirty years’ experience and extensive involvement in key roles during the design and development of a large number of major offshore and onshore oil and gas installations and petrochemical plants, worldwide. Responsible for developing LNG FPSO’s and Onshore modularized LNG plant designs culminating in JGC being awarded multiple LNG projects for Feed and Detailed Design. Including FLNG/LNG specific projects: Petronas ZFLNG, near shore FLNG, Sabah, (Feed)/UTM FLNG, Nigeria, (Pre-Feed)/Perenco PDR FLNG, Africa, (Pre-Feed). Newage West Africa Projects, FLNG (Pre-Feed)/LNG Canada, Modularized LNG plant, British Columbia (Feed)/ENI Coral FLNG, Mozambique, (Pre-Feed & Feed)/Petronas PFLNG2, FLNG, Sabah, Malaysia (Pre-Feed & Feed)./Masela FLNG (Pre-feed)/Ichthy’s, Modularized LNG plant, Western Australia (Pre-Feed & Feed)/Chevron, Sanha LPG FPSO, Angola (Proposal & detail design).
